some guidelines to help you all enjoy your stay

Terms & Conditions

In the interests of preserving our beautiful environment and for everyone's enjoyment, we ask for your co-operation with the following terms and conditions:

The main family fields area are allocated on a first come first served basis on booking. Additionally, our field ideal for couples is also marked out in pitches. The rest of the campsite operates on a first come first served basis on arrival. You will be directed to a suitable field for your stay when you have checked-in, where you will be free to choose your own camping spot.

We reserve the right to open and close different camping fields due to adverse weather conditions.

The speed limit in the camp is 10mph

Due to the nature of the business we operate a no-refunds policy, we hope that you understand our position on this and recommend that you only book if you are 100% certain of your stay or taking out your own holiday insurance, for any unforeseen circumstances.

Visitors are permitted at the discretion of  the management. All visitors must report to reception prior to entering the campsite, pay £5 into the charity box for the use of facilities etc. and will be required to sign-in . No visitors on site after 10pm.

Children under 8 years of age must be accompanied by an adult to the toilets and showers.

Loud music is not allowed and all music must be turned off by 11pm. Failure to abide by this rule may result in your being asked to leave the campsite immediately, without  a refund.

If returning late at night, please be quiet and consider your neighbours.

Please make sure your pitch is clean at all times.

Water conservation is important, please make sure all taps and the shower is turned off when not in use. During busy times please keep showering time to a minimum.

If you have additional guests wanting to stay, you MUST inform the on arrival. We will do our best to adjust your booking but if we are fully booked we reserve the right to only comply with the numbers originally booked.

Vehicle stickers must be placed on the top right hand side of the drivers windscreen. The sticker must be made visible at all times. if you do not have a vehicle, tent tags must be displayed clearly on all tents in the party.

Campers must vacate the site by 11am on the day of departure. Failure to leave site on time, leaving pitch messy or any noise complaints will result in forfeiting your bond.

It is important that you inform reception if you plan to join another party on site. If you do not, you may not be able to pitch together.

Under no circumstances do we allow hen, stag or birthday parties to stay on site. 

Although BBQ's (charcoal and gas) and fire pits, are welcome, we do not permit hot areas to be placed directly on the grass, You are welcome to use the bricks located by the shower block to raise off the ground, please replace to position upon leaving.

 

We do allow dogs and other pets on site, but they must be kept quiet and on leads or caged at all times. they cannot be left unattended, when owners leave the site.

There are various farm animals kept please ensure that you do not feed the animals and do not enter any fields with animals. If contact is made please wash you hands immediately .

 

The campsite gates are locked at 10pm each evening. Anyone returning by car/van after 11pm will not be able to drive through to their pitch and will need to park in the car park and collect their vehicle the following morning. 

Please note that all under 18's must be accompanied by an adult who is over the age of 25.Adults groups, we take a maximum of 6 adults in a group. If we see groups larger than this forming, they will be asked to leave without a refund or bonds.

 Noisy or messy campers will be asked to leave immediately. 

Residents agree that during their stay at Little Shatterling Farm Campsite, it is entirely at their own risk, and hereby indemnify the owner and staff from liability for any damage or loss caused by themselves, members of their party, their guests or invitees, to any of their equipment chattels or property. The management reserves the right to terminate any tenancy without refund, if your co-operation is not observed with this request. If you feel you cannot co-operate with these rules please do not stay.

2015 SPRING IS HERE

We welcome the 2015 season , we have made lots of improvements, and have increased our Henrietta flock to allow more to enjoy fresh daily eggs with breakfast !! , foals are due in April so visitors will enjoy seeing them playing in the fields during the summer .

We are hoping Milly the goat will also delight us with some kids , providing Bert did what he was meant to do !

Geraldine the goose has fallen in love with Maud the goat, which does make a rather odd site to see them following each other around.

the roses are already in bloom and honey suckle has spread sprouted even more new shoots

Warm lazy summer days are on the horizan with clear starry filled nights, you just can beat lazing back in the recliner after an enjoyable day, looking up at all those stars , I will keep all updated as we go through the season , I hope to see some familier faces back this year .
